Dr Korres is currently employed at Iaso Maternity Hospital, as a responsible clinician for the newborn hearing screening program. The hearing evaluation is done with Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE’s), Auditory Brainstem Responses (ABR) and ASSR. Otitis media with effusion(OME) is the most common cause for hearing loss in children, which should be treated in early stages with medication, following surgery in case symptoms persist.
